ATW SHINES AT THEATERMANIA STREET FAIR!

Are You Living the Dreams and Ideals that you Envisioned in your Youth?

Whether you are an actor or a person seeking to develop your potential and creativity, learn to use the theatre principles of the Scott Acting Technique to communicate and gain clarity and power in life.

On Sunday June 3th, this message captured the hearts and imaginations of hundreds of community members who visited our booth at the TheatreMania Street Fair on Second Avenue. Warm greetings to our new friends who are receiving our ATW newsletter for the first time, and welcome back to our ongoing supporters!

Video Documentary: For the third year in a row we have hosted a multi-media booth at the TheaterMania Street Fair. Visitors had the exciting opportunity to view the first of a series of video excerpts from The Master Class Acting Training Program of the Scott Acting Conservatory, taught by our Artistic Director and Founder, Thurman E. Scott. Viewers’ imaginations were captured by these illuminating ideas and techniques that are generally only experienced by the members of the Master Class. Not only does this material serve as valuable training material for actors and directors, it also makes powerful, effective theatre principles and techniques available to anyone seeking to develop creatively. The Actors Theatre Workshop is committed to bringing these powerful ideas to a larger audience through our groundbreaking documentary footage. If you did not see these excerpts – or if you would like to see them again – please click here.

Raffle Winner:Those who signed our mailing list were automatically entered into our raffle for the chance to win a $100 gift certificate to Blue Water Grill, a leading New York City restaurant located on Union Square.

Congratulations to Bicky Corman, our lucky winner!!!

THE SCOTT ACTING CONSERVATORY

Members of the community were inspired by the Scott Acting Technique which is a unique and powerful acting system that allows the actor to express deep emotional reality and complex behavior through a trained and disciplined imagination. We currently offer two classes taught by Artistic Director and Founder Thurman E. Scott: the ongoing Master Class Acting Training Program and the Six-Session Intensive, an introduction to the Scott Technique.

Read testimonials below from students of the Scott Acting Conservatory,

“I found the teacher who will really honor who I am. Having someone who is fighting for you as much as you want to fight for yourself is something you can look for your whole life and never find. It’s really amazing that I could come here and find that.”

- Mariko Enkoji-Busch

Master Class, 2007

“His class is very unique. Thurman Scott has got a lot of ideas about acting that people just don’t know about yet, and not only ideas... a technique. He has an ability to teach and understand drama that really I don’t think anyone’s ever been able to do before. Based on his experience and background, he’s just got in amazing gift working with people and understanding the human condition and human drama. That’s very profound and very needed.”

- Cynthia Hepner

Master Class, 2007

"I'm not only getting an education in theater principles and the stage. We talk about the most amazing things in class because what's going on in the world is what we're going to be revealing to our audience on the stage."

- Mariko Enkoji-Busch
