Dear Friends,
July 23, 2013

ATW Staff with children
On Tuesday, June 25th, we celebrated the final event for our Builders of the New World program. The event was a huge success, and we’re so grateful to everybody who helped make it possible!

We'd like to extend a very special thanks to all of the local restaurants who have generously donated food to BNW. This is one of the most important aspects of our program; it helps us to create a homelike environment here for children who lack stability in their own home lives. Thanks to the generosity of these restaurants, we've been able to treat the children to quality, "CEO-level" food, and this makes a huge difference!

To help extend our gratitude to these establishments, we invite you to pay them a visit. We have partnered with a variety of restaurants from all over the city, so wherever you go, or whatever you’re in the mood for, you can find a great place to eat!

The Castello Plan
One of Brooklyn’s best kept secrets, come here to enjoy tapas, a glass of wine and a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. This lovely restaurant was established by one of our ATW alumni, Ben Heemskerk. Thank you, Ben!

Berimbau
Enjoy authentic Brazilian cuisine at this vibrant West Village gem. We enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Antibes Bistro
Reminiscent of authentic bistros in the South of France, this Lower East Side restaurant also hosts local jazz musicians twice a week.
Hudson Hotel
Hudson New York
This restaurant of the Hudson Hotel on West 58th St. not only donated a flavorful, festive and elegant meal; they also sent over a team of servers to help make our graduation an event to remember. Special thanks to chef German Villatoro for his inspired cooking! The delicious leftovers were enjoyed by families and residents of the Regent Family Living Center who could not attend the performance.

Serafina
Enjoy Serafina’s Italian cuisine all over the city, including at their East 61st St. location, which offers a warm atmosphere and an elegant menu.
Millesime Restaurant (at the Carlton Hotel)
Come to this enchanting establishment, in the heart of the Flatiron, for elegant French dining.

Sabor Borinqueño
This restaurant in Spanish Harlem offers delicious Puerto Rican food and a homelike atmosphere.

American Flatbread Tribeca Hearth
Located in TriBeCa, this restaurant was founded on the philosophy that food should be simple, wholesome, and sustainable. Their flatbread pizza is made with organic ingredients and baked in a wood-fired oven. Everyone loved the pizza!

Sant Ambroeus
This celebrated pasticceria and confetteria began in Milan as the meeting place for the local intelligentsia. Today, you can visit one of the three New York locations to enjoy anything from a cup of coffee to an elegant dinner.
BNW Children
Cupcake Café
This cozy café in Hell’s Kitchen offers a variety of delicious cupcakes (we recommend the maple walnut!), topped with their famous and beautiful buttercream flowers.

Nir Kadosh - - a generous individual who bought the food for one of our Saturday rehearsals.

Work is already underway for our next session of BNW, and we encourage you to help us make it just as much of a success! If you have a favorite restaurant in the city, or if you know a restaurant owner or manager who you think might be willing to be a part of this program, then please let us know! Please call 212-947-1386 or email outreach@actorstheatreworkshop.com, and we can talk about making an introduction.

This is a meaningful way that you can support our work in the community, and we would really appreciate your help!
Best Wishes,
