Open Mic – Come and Examine the Pertinent Issues of the Times

 

We are initiating a new program for theater goers and community members to express your ideas and insights about the many pressing issues our society faces today. Read your poetry, sing your song, tell your story in a three minute expression on our beautiful, professional stage. Six Session Acting Intensive Program

This six-week creative training course has been custom designed to help students gain new insights and learn to use creative tools to enhance their job and life. Taught by Master Teacher of Acting Thurman E. Scott, the course is made up of a simple series of exercises, with customized teaching and guidance designed to help each individual feel relaxed, develop presence and individuality, and respond creatively in any given moment. Course begins October 15.

Creative Expression

The Creative Expression Training and Community Service Program is an innovative one-year scholarship program for people that leads to personal and professional development through creative expression and community service. Participants study creative process in weekly classes with ATW's Artistic Director and Founder Thurman E. Scott; utilize their particular skills in a volunteer position created to exercise and develop their unique gifts; and put their new-found insights on community service into action as a member of ATW's award-winning theatre and education program for homeless children. ATW is offering this scholarship program to highly motivated individuals with strong leadership skills, a desire to create tangible change in the community, and a commitment to develop new creative skills and insights. Program begins October 25.
